ApplyGuide

In 2021, I led the redesign of ApplyGuide, ApplyBoard’s internal knowledge base. The goal was to modernize the interface, improve accessibility, and create a user-friendly experience that made information easier to find, all while aligning with the company’s branding.

My role
I took the project from concept to launch. Instead of wireframes, I went straight to high-fidelity mockups in Figma and worked closely with stakeholders to ensure the redesign met both user needs and business goals. I chose Bootstrap for its flexibility, making the design intuitive, accessible, and easy for the team to manage long-term.
Key improvements:
- A fully branded experience aligned with ApplyBoard’s design guidelines
- A revamped landing page with better navigation
- Improved accessibility for screen readers
- Dark mode for better readability in low-light settings
- A dynamic table of contents for faster article navigation
- A “What’s New” popup to highlight updates and features
The redesign completely transformed ApplyGuide, making it easier to use and maintain. A post-launch survey showed 90% of users loved the new design and found information more easily. The Knowledge Management team also saw major improvements in content management, leading to faster response times for support requests.
