Maui Unified Mobile App

In 2023, while at Gryphtech, I led the redesign of multiple agent and broker mobile apps, including KW Control Panel and RE/MAX Global Referrals. This project wasn’t just about updating the look, it was about modernizing the experience, transitioning from Xamarin to .NET MAUI, and creating a unified design system to keep everything consistent, accessible, and user-friendly across all apps.

The challenge
Gryphtech was moving from Xamarin to .NET MAUI, which meant rebuilding the apps from the ground up. This shift created the perfect opportunity to refine the design, improve usability, and align the mobile experience with the desktop web apps.

My role
As the lead UI/UX designer, I took charge of the redesign from start to finish. I documented the old screens, built high-fidelity mockups in Figma, and created a design system to speed up development. I also designed splash screens, app icons, and push notification visuals. Working closely with the product team, I ensured consistency across multiple brands, themes, and languages while tackling challenges like multilingual support and evolving business needs.

The design approach
I used the previous app versions as a starting point but focused on modernizing the UI. I increased spacing for better touch accessibility, improved the visual hierarchy for clarity, and used Syncfusion’s components as the foundation. The goal was to make the apps feel cleaner, more intuitive, and easy to use.

The impact
The new design system brought consistency across all apps and made the transition to .NET MAUI smoother for developers. The improved layouts enhanced accessibility and provided a better experience for users across different brands, languages, and devices. Plus, updating and expanding the apps became faster and more efficient. Now, the redesigned apps are live on the App Store and Google Play in 40+ countries.
